Default Best HTML editor

What is the best html editor? Is it the Dreamweaver? Or other software? I mean the best in terms of feature, user-friendly GUI, flexibility, etc. And also hybrid in WYSIWYG and coding feature. But as of now, I believe that Dreamweaver is the best.

(I previously using Microsoft Frontpage as my HTML editor but sad to say, it is my most hated software because it only makes my webpages ugly.)

But if you know a program better that the Dreamweaver, please post it. Thanks!

When I first built my website, I was going to use Frontpage. But, the host I chose has a pretty good editor themselves. I just got my site from freewebs dot com yesterday!

oh, yeah... even I, when I'm a beginner, i used frontpage. But its not advisable to others because of the lack of some features. I hosted at freewebs.com 2 years ago and I agree they're good. But it is much good if you are going to design your own page, all by your self.

You have at least some control of the HTML.

I use Notepad++.. It is a Editor similar to Visual Studio with a capability of choosing many different languages. So, I recomend Notepad++.

I moved over to web zone talk within the past month. They let you have themes and predone pages, so you can't have complete control of the HTML, but that is a small price to pay for a free domain.
