Whats the use in Flash Websites?

I don't understand why people make a completely flash website. As far as know, you can't use the alt attribute for images, middle-button scrolling is rendered useless, and select computers can't run flash (not having it installed/not compatible)

Whats your opinion on these websites?

I would agree. Sometimes if high speed is down, or I am somewhere with no access to high speed, flash is USELESS! This is becoming less of an issue because most people have high speed internet. But 3-5 years ago, this was an issue.

they use flash in websites because of design purposes. flash is more attractive than any other designs, but there were more disadvantages than advantages. As you have said, there were issues like slow loading time of the page etc. I would discourage making full-flash sites.

I have to agree with many of you. Flash may look nice buut there are many drawbacks. Plus another advantage of using it is that some people find it esaier to use.

there is no security connecting to database using flash isn't it?
