Personal firewall

A personal firewall is an application which controls network traffic letting you make the final decisions on permitting or denying communications with other sites. They nonitor all incoming and outgoing Internet traffic and may provide some level of intrusion detection, too and these are the two main reasons what for I used Sygate personal firewall on my computer .
Which other personal firewall do you know and how pleased are you with it ?

There are firewalls used in different layers...

Using only one layer firewall is not enough (like a lot of you do... using application layered firewall) but in one layer, one firewall should be good enough coz otherwise there might be problem that nothing can come in and out even the things you want it to go through.

application layered firewall mostly filters the ports that a traffic is going through
a network layer firewall (like from some routers) is filtering what traffic can come in and if there is any specious traffic outside that wants to come into your local network.

I use generally microsoft's firewall with motorola router's firewall.
