What is Url?
It is an abbreviation of "Uniform Resource Locator". First part of url address indicates what protocol using i.e either http or ftp protocol, and second part displays IP address or domain (or subdomain) name.

URL is the location of a file on the Web. When you type the address of a Web page into your browser, you are typing a URL.
